3 Way Conferencing

John Scarborough: Your Polycom phone has the ability to conference three callers together. To initiate a conference, first, dial and connect with the first caller. To add an additional caller, press the conference soft key button or the conference hard key. The first caller will be placed on hold automatically while you dial the new telephone number or extension. When that caller answers, to connect all three parties, press the conference soft key or hard key button again and all three parties will be connected.

Once you have a three-way conference in progress, you have the option to split the two other callers from one another. In other words, to break the three-way conference into two separate calls. You might use this if you needed to privately consult [Phonetic] [0:00:43] with only one of the parties for example, while the other one goes on hold.

With the three-way call in progress, hit the Split soft key and both calls will then be separated. You can then toggle up or down with your arrow buttons to resume the call privately with the individual intended party you wish. You may then resume the three-way conference by pressing the More soft key then selecting Join.

By the way, say for example you’re already on a call with the person and you see a second call coming in to you that you wish to conference into your current conversation, simply place your current call on hold, answer your second call then press the More soft key then select Join. All three of you are now bridged into a conference call together.
