Call Forwarding
John Scarborough: Once you log in to your portal, click on Incoming Calls on the left hand side. Once in here, you will have three options for forwarding, Call Forward Always, Call Forward Busy and Call Forward No Answer.
If you click on the Call Forward Always, you can see that all you have to do is insert the 10-digit phone number or extension that you want to forward all of your calls to all of the time and turn it on. Please note that this feature can also be turned on by using your phone instead of the portal. You do this by dialing star 72 from your phone.
If you go back to Incoming Calls menu, you can click on Call Forward No Answer. Click on that feature and you can see that this is a little bit different. For this feature, not only do you have to insert the 10-digit number or extension, but you also have to set how many rings it will ring on your phone before forwarding off the call. This allows the call to automatically forward to another destination if you don’t answer. So for example, if you don’t answer your office phone, the call can be forwarded to your cell phone instead of going into voicemail.
By the way, instead of using the Web portal to manage this feature, you can also activate this function directly by entering star 92 to activate and star 93 to disable.
The last call forward function to cover is Call Forward Busy. Call Forward Busy is enabled when you have your phone on “do not disturb” or if you turned off call waiting and get a second call while you’re already on a call. This feature allows you to forward calls to a separate number if either of these are the case. To set up Call Forward Busy from the Incoming Calls menu, click on Call Forward Busy and insert the 10-digit number or extension and turn it on and you will have the call forwarding feature enabled. You can also turn this feature on by dialing star 90 to activate and star 91 to deactivate.
